The Odisha Organic Farming Policy has been formulated to make farming climate- resilient, reduce the risk to farmers, and enhance farm income. E-Waste Management Rules
The EWM Rules, 2016, apply to every manufacturer, producer, consumer, bulk consumer, collection center, dealer, e-retailer, refurbisher, dismantler, and recycler involved in the manufacture, sale, transfer, purchase, collection, storage and processing of e-waste or electrical and electronic equipment.
The rules aims to enable the recovery and/or reuse of useful material from e-waste, thereby reducing the hazardous wastes destined for disposal and ensuring the environmentally sound management of all types of waste of electrical and electronic equipment.

The Plastic Waste Management Rules – 2016 aims to:
facilitate collection and recycle of plastic waste.
promote use of plastic waste for road construction as per Indian Road Congress guidelines or energy recovery, or waste to oil etc. for gainful utilization of waste and also address the waste disposal issue; to entrust more responsibility to waste generators, namely payment of user charge as prescribed by the local authority, collection and handing over of waste by the institutional generator, event organizers.
