Bellow are sectoral policies, regulations and acts amended, introduced by Govt. of Odisha between 1st January 2016 and 30th September 2019 to support new businesses and Startups in the state.

Aerospace Defence Manufacturing Policy-2018.

The policy would provide incentives and exemptions in conjunction with any other applicable existing policy of the State and Government of India. Any A&D manufacturing unit may choose to avail a particular incentive either from this policy or from any other policy of the State, but not both. Objectives

The main objective of the policy is to attract investments in Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing sector. Create a strong ancillary ecosystem of manufactures, suppliers and vendors through a focused cluster based approach. Harness the potential of ITR, DRDO, HAL, OFB and other institutions present in Odisha for developing state of art technologies, products and ecosystem for the sector.

Promote R&D for building of indigenous advanced Aerospace and Defence technology. Promote skill development in Aerospace & Defence Manufacturing to create industry ready manpower.

Biotechnology Policy 2018.

The Odisha Biotechnology Policy 2018 aims at prioritizing the thrust areas for basic as well as applied research and technology development with industry-academia-social interface.
The Policy provides fiscal & non fiscal incentives, marketing assistance for development of the sector.

 

Odisha State Film Policy – 2016.

The key objectives of Odisha State Film Policy are:

  • To promote quality Odia films.
  • To facilitate film tourism in the state.
  • To bring Odisha as a destination for film shooting.
 
Renewable Energy Policy-2016.

The Renewable Energy Policy 2016 aims to contribute to long term energy security of the State as wel as ecological security by reduction in carbon emission and create skilled & semi-skilled manpower resources through promotion of technical and other related training facilities. The Policy facilitates development of manufacturing units and Research & Development in the Renewable Energy sector.

 

Odisha Youth Innovation Fund.

Odisha Youth Innovation Fund aims to help Odisha to become a creative and innovation friendly society and emerge as a national leader in sustainable technology. To ensure evolution and diffusion of grass root innovation in mission mode to cater to the socio-economic and environmental needs of society. To provide institutional support to grass roots innovation & traditional knowledge practices thereby lending sustainability and self-sufficiency in operations.

 

Odisha Startup Policy – 2016.

The mission of Odisha Startup Policy is to Build a holistic Startup ecosystem in Odisha to enable the State to become one of the top three Startup destinations in the country Implement a supportive regulatory framework and robust governance structure that enables hassle-free, time bound statutory clearances and monitoring.

 

Amendment of Labour Law for EODB for Startups.

For Ease of Doing of Business for Startups Amendments has been made to Labour law under Governemnt of Odisha.
